A beneficial BE program needs to be business centered, easy to learn,
be connected from start to finish, and be designed with long term student benefits in mind.
There are three levels of education associated with Business English (BE) these days.
What Constitutes a BE Program?
students learn 2 things simultaneously:high quality English fluency, plus a specific business skill.
3 Levels of Business English
LEVEL ONE - GBC/ GENERAL BUSINESS COMMUNICATIONS- this level of BE is the
most commonly taught everywhere in the world in non-English speaking countries.
LEVEL TWO - PBC/ PERFORMANCE BUSINESS COMMUNICATIONS- This level involves specific skills, including Presentations, Meetings and Negotiations.
LEVEL THREE - SBC/ SPECIFIC BUSINESS COMMUNICATIONS- This level could be more aptly termed ‘Business in English’ as it teaches specific business skills in English.

If a Company decides to send its people to improve their levels of spoken English, it should be aware of the three different levels of BE available. Each level has pluses and minuses, depending on the specific needs required to be met by the Company.
